Explain, in a brief paragraph of no fewer than 150 words, why you decided to sequence your outline as you did. I decided to take this approach for an outline because at first I want to define the term hate crime. This is done to make the audience aware of what this crime actually is, and that there is a difference between this and any other crime. Hate crimes are more common than we think they are so public awareness will inform the audience to that fact.
Children lead by example so I think that family participation and schools should set these examples. Children normally repeat what they see or have learned so I feel like including these will help prevent decades of prejudice. I hope that this approach will allow the audience to see that there is much that can be done to prevent hate crimes. I also hope that this will allow me to gather what I have learned through research to write an essay that will keep the readers attention and have an impact on them whereas they will take a stand.
