Order NowI recently received a letter rejecting my undergraduate application for admission to the Purdue University. I understand the competitive nature of admission to Purdue, but I would like to appeal this decision.
Personally, I have regarded Purdue as my ideal institution for a long time, and I have been striving to become the student and community member reflective of the attitudes and values of Purdue University. It is in this high-esteem for the university and the community that I write this candid letter.
When a school such as Purdue is so inundated with qualified applicants desiring to go there, the job of an admissions officer can surely be frightful. Truthfully, I do not feel that Purdue has necessarily made a mistake in its selection, for how can a school sift through the numerous outstanding individuals and select a class meager in proportion to the number of students who wish they could attend. Yes, I write this letter as an appeal for my admissions decision for the Fall of 2019, but more so than that, I feel the need to give a dream school of mine at least one more shot. Regardless of the consequent decision, which I fully realize is statistically to be against my desired response, I must write this letter.
I was quite disappointed when I received my rejection letter from Purdue. Purdue had been my target university since the beginning of my high school. I had given my SATs thrice throughout 2017-2018 and unfortunately I was not able to achieve the score that Purdue required which led to me taking a gap year and after I graduated high school in May 2018, I decided to give the SATs one last chance and was determined to do better on this one since I was freed from the tension of my high school examinations and I could concentrate well on preparing for the SATs.
I was confident enough that this score along with my high school grades would definitely let me pursue my dreams at Purdue but to my shock I had been denied admission. Throughout the year I saw my friends going to college and experiencing the new life which always demotivated me a lot but what kept me determined throughout the past year was the hope to get into a well reputed university like Purdue. I had always been a good student throughout my high school years and this rejection came to me as a shock since I had the perfect scores and the perfect grades to attain admission in Purdue. I applied to other universities as well and got rejected from them and that discouraged me a lot but I was quite hopeful for Purdue.
I truly believe that God has His plan, and that everything works out for the best. All I feel I can do is submit this letter and let fate have its way.
