Order NowObesity is the condition of being very over weight. Did you know this condition has affected millions of Americans throughout out the United States! People who are obese deal with many negative health factors throughout out their lives. These include depression, anxiety, and sometimes even death. Most people that deal with this medical issue have many social problems. Something has to change! With so many Americans living such unhealthy lives, they are becoming disabled from living happy normal lives. People who are overweight should also try to increase their exercise levels and eat healthier in order to maintain healthy lifestyles and overcome obesity.
People who are obese are unhealthy because they are unable too exercise and this causes them too be unfit. I have a peer who dances with me and she is very overweight. I have have observed her in different situations where she is limited too participate in certain dance activities because of her weight. One time we had a performance in the community and she was unable too participate because she had injured one of her knees from dancing because her doctor restricted her from particpating because of her weight . Another time we were doing a very long african routine which requires a lot of energy, she would start off dancing with high energy but towards the middle she lost majority of her energy and had a hard time keeping up with the rest of the dancers which lead too her being cut from that number . My friends unhealthy behavior is not benefiting here from being a better dancer.
Obese people suffer from emotional issues that could lead too symptoms of aniexty and depression. These insecurities of evidences in their behavior. For example, a number of obese people I know avoid large social gathering because of their weight. For example, there was a gathering at hotel for a sweet 16 and since it was summer everyone was going too go swimming one of my female friends was invited too the party was very down on her self about her body and her belief that she would not look good in a swim suit. She stayed home and when i called her later on that day she was crying and was stuffing her face with sweets. Another example is when a group of us were going to do a some laps at the track for a couple of hours and invited one of are peers that was over weight so he wouldn’t feel left out but the response he gave us was very negative and rude He became offended and asked us if we thought he should go too the track because he is over weight. These behaviors are obviously caused by my friend’s insecure feelings about their weight problems.
Social withdrawal and or isolation is one of the biggest issues among people who are over weight. From my experience who are over weight avoid going out into public and limit the amount of social interaction they engage in my friends in the pervious paragraph typically refuse any opportunities too hang out. For the most part the only wanted too stay at home and their room and feel sorry for themselves. Even when I offered over them support the continued to avoid it and said thing like “ I’m never gonna be as skinny as you.”, “Im too tired too work out.”, I”m nothing but a fat ass!” etc. These are ways that my friends express how being over weight prevents them from having positive social interactions. As a result these behaviors contribute too their obesity because they don’t have the social skills that allow them to participate in any social gathering or healthy activities. This may be personal choice but its appears from their reactions that it is mostly related too them being overweight.
Obesity is a tragic issue that effect millions of people , many face emotional problems, social isolation and unhealthy habits that impact their everyday lives. Many of them are unable to lead normal healthy lives and this continues to affect them in negative ways. It is important for overweight individuals to think positively about their bodies so they increase their self esteems and practice healthier life styles. When these people have positive self images, they increase their exercise levels, interact more with their peers and have more positive outlooks.
