Campus Voting system for the election of CSC Officers

Introduction
The Student Council elections have always been a perennial activity for every school. It is an activity wherein each student is required to choose from a set of candidates who will represent each position in the Student Council. In order for the student to accomplish this, the student must go through several processes. First the student must go to the Administration Office if he is a registered voter, then goes to the voting area and chooses the candidates he likes. After that, the student submits the filled-up ballot form to the voting administrator in order for his votes to be cast. Then the student is marked with an indelible ink to signify that he has already voted.

After all the votes have been cast, the voting procedure goes again through several processes. The votes are collected and are then counted, which could take several hours to several days, depending on the volume of votes.

It would be useful to have a voting (democratic) system to ensure that the Student Council Election system ensures that only registered voters can vote and vote only once on the election’s day, and collects the cast votes and tally the results of the election. Voter privacy is somehow maintained and vote tampering is prevented in this system.

Elections allow the populace to choose their representatives and express their preferences for how they will be governed. Naturally, the integrity of the election process is fundamental to the integrity of democracy itself. The election system must be sufficiently robust to withstand a variety of fraudulent behaviors and must be sufficiently transparent and comprehensible that voters and candidates can accept the results of an election. Electronic voting system is a way of replacing the regular voting system of passing paper ballots into a box and then counting the paper votes determining the winner. An electronic voting system has the potential to perform faster, reduce the amount of people needed to hold an election, and bring more comfort towards the voting procedure

It is a simple software, because it managed to secure the ballots and performed quick counterbalance. A major problem of College Student Council Election is they spend much on office supplies such as pentel pens, manila paper, and bond papers to be used in preparing the ballots and in tallying the votes. All section mayors need to tally the votes of the students and together with their respective adviser. The proponent had to redesign the existing election system. The traditional way just didn’t belong in the semi-computerized. They operation manually (at least, it wouldn’t integrate very well into the picture). The system will not have to cope with large amounts of simultaneous users as the campus is limited in size

This will enable the voter to cast his vote by clicking the radio buttons and check boxes on the Balloting Unit against the candidate and symbol of his choice. It cannot be opened and attempt to vote twice.

It is not possible to vote more than once by pressing the button again and again. As soon as a particular button on Balloting Units is pressed, the vote is recorded for that particular candidates and the machine gets locked.
