For some it might be some kind of passion or hobby, while for others it is merely carrying on living out of fear of death. I personally have a few different things that make my life meaningful which I will briefly share with you.
One thing that makes my life meaningful is having a goal for the future. Someday I would like to have a high paying job, a nice house and car, and more than enough money to support myself and my family. I would like to feel abundant in many ways and I know that in order to reach this goal I need to work very hard. This makes me feel as if the efforts I put into my work aren’t going to waste and that they will one day be rewarded for them. Knowing this is one thing that makes my life meaningful and worth living.
Other things that make my life meaningful are the little, simple things that I can smile about. Things like that sweet excitement of a gentle flirtatious touch, or watching young kids enjoy their lives. The breaking sunlight among the trees at my favorite place and admiring the tiny sparks of flame as they leap from a campfire. The smile of someone who really means it. The longing of true love. The love of a merciful God. All simple things, yet they mean so much to me. Lastly, what makes my life meaningful is having a special relationship with God. I know that God created me for a reason and that he has a plan for my life. It says this in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord, they are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope”. To me it is amazing that God created me to carry out his plan. Every day he helps my through life, and he would not put me on this earth if I didn’t have a purpose. To me this is what makes my life the most meaningful.
In conclusion, there are many things that make my life meaningful and I am grateful for each one.
