Proballly he already planned what he is going to do over the weekend. Moreover, he is not able to enjoy changes and therefore, he prefers to go in the same restaurant and to order the same food like last time. He develops certain habits and is not able to adapt to new things easy. He cannot deal well with difficulties in expounding and understandin the main problem, because he doesnt’t get involved. Overall, he is restrained in his actions and the relationship may loose over the time its intesity.
On the opposite side is the active type of boyfriend. He is socially involved in different kinds of activities. He is fascinated with sports and he has different types of hobbies. He is all the time busy with something. He plays baskettball in league and goes out every weekend. He likes to be active, is outgoing and enjoys spending time with friends. He also gets very easy excited about new stuff and loves challenges. He is up to date with fashion and has the latest hairstyle. Usually he drives a fast car and goes regulary to gym. Mainly, he is a good partner to have fun with, but he doesn’t pay enough attention to the relationship, because he is too self-centered.
Finally, the prejudiced type of boyfriend has the old-fashioned mentality. He deeply believes that women are the “second sex”. He is jealos and, therefore, he doesn’t allow his girlfriend to go out by herself. Another fact of his mentality is that he would not support his girlfriend to have a career. He expects her to be fully committed to him. He cannot even imagine that his girlfriend could earn more than he does. He has certain priciples of the position a woman has in the society and therefore in a relationship too. He also expects that she can cook and that she is willing to take care of the household while he is providing the income. It is hard to discuss with him when a conflicht arises, because he gets aggressive. With his attitude, he actually constricts his girlfriend, by taking away her independence and self-affirmation.
Consequently, there is no ideal partner because it depends on our expectations how a partner should be. The important fact is to understand that every partner has good and bad characteristics.
