Order NowSome people say teenagers are careless and do not think about the consequences of their actions. I agree that they are careless and do not think about the consequences of their actions. Teenagers are careless when it becomes to choosing friends. We choose friends who contribute to our downfalls instead of our success. We try to fit in with friends by doing drugs, having sex, and drinking, but in reality the only thing our friends are doing is hurting us. We do not realize that out actions now affect our future. Teenagers are constantly engaging in actions that we know are wrong. Many teens drink and drive. Why? Maybe it’s because they have parents who do not care what they do or maybe it is because they are depressed or have other things going on in their lives. It leads to accident, Seventy percent of roads accidents are caused by careless teen drivers. Also, texting and driving has become a major epidemic. 21% of distracted drivers involved in fatal accidents were distracted by a cell phone.
Fifteen to nineteen year old’s make up the largest proportion of distracted drivers. Teenagers aren’t just careless; many are very irresponsible as well. When it becomes to have a curfew at 10, they stay out to 12, and they make their parents go insane worrying about them. They basically do whatever they want to do without thinking about how it affects others. They get in trouble with the law and get charges against them. They are just not thinking before acting, and this affects their future and they don’t realize this until it is too late. I think that some teenagers are the way they are because the way they are raised. A lot of parents do not care what their teens they let them run wild. Half the time they have no idea where their children are.
Maybe if teenagers were disciplined more and parents cared more about what their children do then teenagers would care more about things that are important instead of things that do not matter. Teenagers are careless and do not think about the consequences of their actions. However, I also believe that teenagers are going through a very difficult transition. They are starting high school, dealing with peer pressure, scared about being bullied about being too thin or being too fat, and also being anxious about not fitting in because their style is different or not having name brand clothes. On top of all that, the feeling of having to grow up is overwhelming. Teenage years are the start of forming our future. I think that some realize the importance of school and growing up, and other are careless and do not think before they act.
