When my daughter was a baby, and we decided to delay vaccination, a friend of my mother-in-law seemed thrilled with our decision. However, she advised to look into the polio vaccine because there wasn’t much they could do if someone did contract polio. During my research, I have found that the polio vaccine is all but completely unnecessary for anyone in the United States. Let’s take a look at some of the most interesting information I have found.

Taken directly from the CDC website:
Is polio still a disease seen in the United States?

The last cases of naturally occurring paralytic polio in the United States were in 1979, when an outbreak occurred among the Amish in several Midwestern states. From 1980 through 1999, there were 162 confirmed cases of paralytic polio cases reported. Of the 162 cases, eight cases were acquired outside the United States and imported. The last imported case caused by wild poliovirus into the United States was reported in 1993. The remaining 154 cases were vaccine-associated paralytic polio (VAPP) caused by live oral poliovirus vaccine (OPV). Okay, let’s recap that. There hasn’t been a case of someone in the USA getting polio naturally for 33 years. For the next 19 years, 8 cases were contracted outside the USA, and the other 154 cases were actually CAUSED by the vaccine. What this doesn’t say is that there hasn’t been a case of polio in the entire western hemisphere since 1991, over 20 years. In 1992, the Federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) published an admission that the live-virus vaccine had become the dominant cause of polio in the United States.

If that isn’t enough to make us say no to the polio vaccine, let’s pretend that somehow she contracts a disease that isn’t even on the continent. What are the chances of it causing detrimental effects? The following is from vaccinate.org: Surprisingly, 95% of all individuals infected with polio have no apparent symptoms. Another 4%–8% of infected individuals have symptoms of a minor, non-specific nature, such as sore throat and fever, nausea, vomiting, and other common symptoms of any viral illness. About 1%–2% of infected individuals develop non-paralytic aseptic (viral) meningitis, with temporary stiffness of the neck, back, and/or legs.

Less than 1% of all polio infections result in the classic “flaccid paralysis,” where the patient is left with permanent weakness or paralysis of legs, arms, or both. So, after managing to get a disease that doesn’t exist here, she would have over a 99% chance that it wouldn’t cause any major problems other than cold symptoms. Now, let’s take a look at some of the ingredients of the polio vaccine: Because some patients may have religious or moral concerns about abortion, you are entitled to know that some polio vaccines are propagated on cell lines obtained from electively aborted fetuses. Those vaccines contain residual DNA, cell components and proteins from the aborted fetal cell line. cogforlife.org As it turns out, many of our vaccines contain aborted fetal cells, not just the polio vaccine. More upsetting news is the list of toxic chemicals the vaccine contains:

The first listed ingredient is monkey kidney, specifically an old continuous line of monkey kidney cells. Some resources claim that animal tissue is no longer used, since contamination of monkey cells in prior versions of the vaccine has been linked to AIDS and cancer, but as the manufacturer states, monkey tissue is still being used.

Well, if it’s just AIDS and cancer, why not continue using monkey tissue? Surely, vaccinating for a disease that doesn’t exist, and getting symptoms that less than 1% of the infected get, outweighs the risk of cancer right? Disturbingly, millions of parents are answering yes to that question. Formalin is the chemical used to inactivate the viruses. Formalin (formaldehyde, methanol, and water solution), is considered a toxic waste, and the laboratories that use it have strict protocols for its disposal. Formaldehyde! Yes, doctors are injecting formaldehyde into tiny babies, and not too many people seem to care. Not only that, but we are paying them to inject poisons into our children, how sick is that? What does formaldehyde do exactly? Low to moderate exposure to formaldehyde can irritate the eyes, nose, mouth, throat and skin, and cause headaches. Formaldehyde may be carcinogenic, and toxic or fatal to humans at high concentrations.” In addition, they state that “Formalin waste is toxic due to the presence of formaldehyde and methanol.

When poured down the drain, it kills some of the biological organisms used for sewage treatment. Carcinogenic, there’s that pesky cancer thing again. Oh, and it kills the good “biological organisms” making the immune system weaker, this stuff just keeps getting better. 2-phenoxyethanol is another chemical used in the production of this Polio vaccine. It is a hazardous material considered harmful if swallowed, inhaled or absorbed through the skin, and may cause reproductive defects. This is worthy of note because, like other vaccine package inserts, this one clearly states that long-term studies on the vaccine’s effect on fertility have never been done. Additional chemicals present in the Polio vaccine are neomycin, streptomycin, and polymyxin. So now we can add possible infertility to the list of reasons to just say no to the polio vaccine. Call me crazy, but I don’t want my child to be a lab rat for testing vaccination related fertility problems.

I didn’t even get into the list of known side effects, which includes severe allergic reactions, fever, vomiting, and even death, just to name a few. The vaccine industry has proven over and over that they make mistakes, and release unsafe products. One version of this particular vaccine caused more cases of polio than the natural virus. Plus, they admitted that long term effects of this vaccine have not been studied, and could cause cancer and infertility, and who knows what else.

My daughter will NOT be receiving this vaccine, and I sincerely hope that more people will start educating themselves about what they are injecting into their children at the most vulnerable time of their lives, early childhood.
