First of all, I would like to state my appreciation and commend you Sir for organizing such activities that would help students examine their relationship with God and with others, and for their self realization and spiritual renewal. Regarding this matter, I would like to state my apology for not attending the said activity held last January 22, 2013 (Tuesday) of the BSBA â Finance 4 group. To inform you Sir, Iâ m one of Jehovahâs Witness and being a member thereof, I have deep respect on our teachings and Bible principles and had established a Bible – trained conscience. On our part, being Christians also, we do have our own way of ârecollectionâ or remembering Jehovah God (Ps.83:18) not just on a particular way or day but throughout our life.
As what we all know, remembering Jehovah God, our Creator means more than just thinking about Him, but also involves doing things that pleases Him. And on our part, as Jehovahâs Witnesses, we always want to build a strong and closer relationship with Jehovah God through doing particular things His Son Jesus did as an example. We regularly read and examine Godâs Word, the Bible and apply it in our life (Joshua 1:8); we regularly attend our scheduled Christian meetings (Heb.10:24-25); we try our best to participate in any sort of ministry like âpreaching the good news of the Kingdomâ and conducting Bible studies with people (Mat.24:14); and most of all we practice and apply Bible teachings and principles in our life, and follow the steps of our Greatest Teacher, Lord Jesus Christ (1 Pet.2:21,Ja.2:21).
For these reasons, I personally decided not to attend the activity because of my Bible â trained conscience and also because of some religious conflicts.
I hope you would respect my standing and beliefs Sir, as I always show respect to you and to this institution. I ensure you Sir that I will always comply with the institutionâs rules and regulations unless it would not be conflict with my Bible â trained conscience and compromising on my part.(Acts 5:29)
