The theme of The Adventure of Tom Sawyer is about Happiness and his adventure of his childhood. The theme develops as Tom grew older. He became more mature and responsible. Also as the story goes on People view Tom a Leader And a hero. “It ain’t a lie, auntie, it’s the truth. I wanted to keep you from grievin—that was all that made me to come”

Aunt Polly- Aunt Polly is Tom’s aunt and she is the one taking care of tom. She is nice woman and she is the one that discipline tom. “Kiss me again, Tom–and be off with you to school, now, and don’t bother me anymore” chapter 19 page 104

Tom Sawyer-Tom Sawyer is the leading character of the novel. Tom always get into trouble with his auntie and friends. As the story goes on he becomes more mature. “It ain’t a lie, auntie, it’s the truth. I wanted to keep you from grievin—that was all that made me to come”chapter 19 pg 104

“For theirs. Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn.” Chapter 4 page 18. I like this quote because its beautifully written and the meaning of it.

“although my book is intended mainly for entertainment of boys and girls, I hope it will not be shunned by men and women on that account, for part of my plan has been to try to pleasantly remind adults of what they once were themselves, and how they felt and thought and talked, and what queer enterprises they sometimes they engage in.” preface

This quote is important to me because we were all once children and sometimes we forget to have fun as we grow older. This quote reminded me back of my childhood and how happy and fun it was.

The ending of the book The Adventure of Tom Sawyer is Huck joins the gang, Tom got out of the cave with Becky, Huck saved widow Douglas life, Huck and Tom got joe’s stolen gold and became rich. I thought the ending was
