Computers are commonly used items in many areas. It is an important thing to people, especially the people who run organizations, industry, and other agencies. Almost anything we know is run or made by computers. It would be hard if we didn’t have the computer around. People nowadays are living in an information age dependent upon digital Information. Digital information is electronic information, the result of computer processing. Every type of job relies upon getting information, using it, managing it, and relaying information to others. Computers enable the efficient processing and storage of information.

Year by year, students in fourth year college is making a research thesis to complete the requirements that the school required them in order to graduate. And the person in-charge compiled and recorded the books by the year it was being created. As observed, the person in-charge is having a problem in keeping all the records of book for a long period of time manually because some record will be missing and the research thesis can sometimes be repeated because they had missed the record of the past year thesis. A campus research thesis and dissertation data banking system plays a role of management system of graduate student of school.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
Manual Recording system was being practiced by most agencies, Sometimes it can cause too much errors.
Thus, the study of Campus Research Thesis and Dissertation Data Banking
System helps to record and print the list of all thesis that was being done by the fourth year student at Sultan Kudarat State University through computerized way.

OBJECTIVES
General objective
To create a Campus Research Thesis and Dissertation Data Banking System.
Specific objectives
To print all the list of Thesis
Classify the Status and Rating of the Thesis
To record the authors and thesis title in computerized way

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
This study aims to avoid making too much error when using the manual system. In study Campus Research thesis and Dissertation Data Banking System the information of every thesis title will be kept for a long period of time as long as it is not being deleted by another person.

SCOPE AND LIMITATION
The information that is being recorded to the system was gathered through interview and by getting the list of all thesis title and authors in the in-charge. Status, Rating are included.
The program started from the month of December 2013 and data banking was being done in February 2013.

CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK

OPERATIONAL DEFINITION
System-refers to a set of detailed methods, procedures and routinescreated to carry out a specific activity, perform a duty, or solve a problem. Data Base-refers to a database collection of information that is organized so that it can easily be accessed, managed, and updated. Dissertation-refers to a document submitted in support of candidature for an academic degree or professional qualification presenting the author’s research and findings. Data banking-refersa fund of information on a particular subject or group of related subjects, usually stored in and used via computer system. Context Diagram- refersto a context diagram a top level (also known as Level 0) data flow diagram. It only contains one process node (process 0) that generalizes the function of the entire system in relationship to external entities. Data Flow – refersto apath taken by data within a device, network, or organization, as it moves from its source to a data repository or a data user. Computer- refersto acomputer device that accepts information (in the form of digitalized data) and manipulates it for some result based on a program or sequence of instructions on how the data is to be processed.

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE
Long time ago, Record keeping was basically performed on table stone, animal skin; and many other forms of record keeping were also designed. Ahmad (2011) stated that the advent of computer technology have changed tremendously for better. An electronic machine called “computer” had started efficiently in performing wonders in various capacity and such is the recordkeeping. According to Dewa (2011), the most spectacular growth has been in the field of business organization. Similarly, computer has many capabilities that make it as a special machine such as recordkeeping task which requires repetition for various sets of data that are ideally suited for computer system.Ahmad (2011) reported that this has contributed to the growth and systematic organization of co-operate records. The importance of computer in record keeping can be defined as one of the most useful modern means of collecting,updating,controlling,recording, and storing the information for the future usage by any resourceful organization.

Recordkeeping on a computer works on the same principles as a manual system. However the computer automates the process, therefore it is so faster and more accurate. Daily(1997), created the different programming languages known to every programmer in the world. A simple-to-use software program eliminates the need for handwritten set of books. This program looks like only a checkbook register but serves as a backbone of the records.

A recordkeeping system is also a document management solution system in which records are collected, organized, and categorized to facilitate their preservation, retrieval, use; and disposition may be either a distinct system designed specifically to provide recordkeeping functionality, data and metadata needed for management of the records controlled by the system, and any electronic records managed by the system. Furthermore, this system also ensures their preservation for evidential purposes, accurate and efficient updating, timely availability, and control of access only by authorized personnel (Yoakeblanche,2011).

According to Barbiie (2003), paper-based system can only be organized in a single way. On the other hand, computerized database solves nearly all problems and could be re-ordered with single click and could be resorted by other criteria in just a few seconds. Priyan (2013) supported that the database system could cross-reference data. Find matches within multiple fields, correlate them, perform arithmethic processes on them, and retrieve only the data that matches every single criterion. Moreover,Barbiie (2003) stated that data in a computer database could be encrypted during storage to prevent any theft or unauthorized copying of information.

According to Tinn (2001) stated that the computerization responded to the call the office or any workplace to help their daily operation. Janes (2001) stated that computers are extremely reliable device and very powerful calculators with some great accessories applications like word processing problem for all of business activities, regardless of size, computers have three advantages over other type of office equipment that process information because computer are faster, more accurate more economical. Reyes (2005) task would be time consuming to accomplish manually and more practical with the aid of computers field in cabinet. Ralph M. Stair (1999) emphasized that the development of technology through the years have enabled us to do more with less effort. From the orientation of the light bulb to the industrial revolution and beyond, we have continuously tried to in a more efficient means of doing tasks. Lewis (2002) stated that the reason for using computers vary from person to person.

Some of the computers in business are to perform accuracy, to be as productivity, to decrease bottle necks or hassles to alter cash flows or to simples elevate your status. SybexInc (1999) stated that visual basic provide a graphical environment in which the users usually designed the forms and control that become the building block of tour application . Visual Basic support many useful tools that will help the user more productivity. Gold Chager et al (2003) said that computer as a device for processing information knew computer plays a significant role in their lives, but few are aware of just how pervasive role is. Mane (2000) mentioned that the creation of the computer made the easier to accomplish that by doing it manually, to have the direct access on straightforward answer just monitoring record where in the needs of computer make possible for everyone to get data in a particular need. We can consider that the computer is necessary and its productive tool for individual. Gurewich (1999) stated that the database system makes the work faster for every institution.

For the mere fact that instead of doing things manually, with the use of computer technology everything is done fasters. ally accept and store input data process and procedure output results under the direction of the stored program or instruction. Towsand (2005) stated that database is structed collection of data. According to Alcaria (2004) explained that the use of computer are continue to grow, the need for a more timely information and data processing comes on demand keeping the records of any manual operations need the application of computer because handling it manually will only be conflicting. Kroenke (2002) in the early 1970’s database processing was considered an esoteric subject of interest only to the longest corporation with the largest computer.

Today, database processing is becoming an information system standard. Silberschatz (2006) in his book “Database System Concept” the goal of database system is to simplify and facilitate access to data. Ahitud et.al (2007) Mentioned that information system are more collection of hardware, software and people. They should be constructed to fit the organization’s strategy and structure so that it could easily be adapted to the information they needed. Asumbra (2002) Access to information is the best way to. In line with technology access to information within fingertips is the easier way to be equipped in the future.

METHODOLOGY
Research Design
This study ofCampus Research Thesis and Dissertation Data Banking System developed the System Development Life Cycle. From manual record keeping into computerized record system to sustain the errors and disadvantages from manual recordkeeping of all thesis titles. Tools and Materials

This study utilized the following hardware requirements: 2 laptops, internet connection and printer. The next are the software requirements: Windows 7 (operating system), and Visual Basic 6.0. For the supplies requirements are the following: bond papers, ball pens, printer and folders. Planning

Data Gathering Procedure
Internet Research-We used the internet source to get some idea from other authors and to take it as a Related Literature. And we used it as the main source of our learning. Library Research-Library researched is the second source of our ideas, we based our studies in the past studies that has done by other student. Interview -Conducting the interview makes our studies complete, we based our studies through the problem and way of the office‘s problem.
