A thousand words and million thoughts

There is a saying that “a picture is worth a thousand words and a million thoughts”. When my mother sent me a picture of my little brother DJ playing football in his first year, I had a million positive thoughts running through my head. Many thoughts not just thoughts of him playing football but about everything. That photo represents a lot more to me and my family than what meets the eye.

This is a great photo of DJ with a smile on his face, which shows he is enjoying his self. But it also is a good representation of DJ and the type of kid he is. It shows that he is a good kid that is doing something positive and productive with his time. Furthermore this photo should bring great memorial value to DJ if he decides to pursue football, as he could look back on this picture as his introduction to the sport.

In addition to what this photo represents, it also means and shows a lot about our family. It shows that even though we are not your perfect role model family, we are still striving to do and achieve better as a family. Because it may sound a little far pitched but the youth in our family like me and DJ are the ones’ who have the potential to break our family’s cycle of crime and poverty. So it really means a lot to everyone that DJ is doing this.

Last but not least this picture means a whole lot to me. Number one because he look just like me when I was playing at his age, but also it also shows how he is following in my footsteps. I was the first person on my mother’s side of the family to play organized football and it feels good to see my little brother doing the same. So when I saw this picture it motivated me to do better in football, life, and every aspect of my life because I know my little brother is watching and following in my footsteps.

Looking at this picture truly changed my aspect on pictures. It showed me that a picture can represent a lot of things to a lot of people. Which is why I now agree with the statement “a picture is worth a thousand words and a million thoughts’’. Because when I first saw this picture I could write a novel with all the word and thoughts in my head.
