Wimpy Kid Diary

The book that reade this month for the November book report was Diary of a Wimpy Kid The Getaway.This book was written by Jeff Kinney.This was the last book of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series.Thich this mean this is the twelve book.

This book starts of with Greg and his best friend telling each other about what they did during summer vacation.After Greg hears about his best friends awesome summer break with his family he really doesn’t care and that his family had went on a summer vacation.The only part Greg likes to hear about other families vacation if something bad happened while on the trip.Almost every year the Heffley struggle all through the christmas holiday .This year they had enough so they decided to take the Christmas off and go out ot an island.the pace they went to was Mr.and Mrs.Heffley honeymoon place,the reason why they said there is because every time they see a commercial about the pace they get all kissiey face.Is was the day before Christmas at 3;00 clock in the morning and the Heffley were sitting in the car in traffic.Mr.Heffley was upset because he wanted to leave earlier so they can beat the traffic.When they got to the airport there seven more traffic the police officers only ga people a 3 minute wait to get out the car.Which the heffley failed at so Mr.Heffley and greg went to to park the cars and bring back all the luggage by themselves.

It took the Heffleys almost two hours to get through securiy.One kid unlocked the belt for the lines. They ended up in the front,the Heffley ended up all the way in the back again.Once they got to the gate the plane was about to take off.They had made it just in time.After that whole fiasco the rest of the plane ride was peaceful.When the got on the plane.Mr Heffley used his mild to be bumped up to first class.Mrs,Heffley did not like that at all so she said they had to take turns during the flight.When they got to the resort ,they had a wild side and a mild side.Obviously the wild side was for the adults and and the mild side was for kids.The Heffley room was on the wild side so they had to change it.Which Greg was really mad about because the wild side had all of the cool activiteies.Like water skiing,jet packs,swimming with sharks etc.The first thing they did when they got to the resort was get settled in their room then they went to the beach.Their wet so many families it took them a half and hour to find a good spot on the beach.After a long time at the beach the Heffley got hungry so they went to the nearest restaurant.When they to to the restaurant they only had water.ms heffley said don’t drink the water has a lot of microbs.It would ruin your stomach as you would be on the toilet for the rest of the vacation.when they went back on the beach ther was a contest for preteens thye had to find over ten sticks under the water and they would get a money prize.

For the rest of the day Mr.Heffley was sitting on the toilet in the room.When Greg went to go take a shower he felt something weird in his slipper and it turned out to be a spider.Out of all the insects in the world it had to be a spider said greg.when he was so scared he called room service to bring him a tray to capture the spider.When they finally came even the room service maidn was scared.So they tried to flush it down the toilet.After that Greg just decided to not to use the bathroom for the rest of the vacation.When greg tried to go to bed it was hard because the birds and the mosquito were coming in and out of his room a lot of times.So the bugs kept biting him.when george asked his parents how is santa going to find us if we are not at home.MRs Heffley said this your gift going on christmas vacation.There will be no gifts this year.which this trip even more worse for Greg.

Ms Heffley decide for their last day they wanted to get to the beach one more time.when they went to the beach there was another contest for the pre teens which Mrs Heffley made Greg go.You had to get all the money from underwater before time is up.Some kids wore pants into the water so they won’t lose the coins and keep them in their pockets.when greg put his coins under a chair a kidd stole them all so he didn’t win anything.while on the trip rodin earned himself a girlfriend I don’t know how but he did.For their last two activities they want to go see the baby turtles hatching.On the way Greg stepped of one and everyone tuned because they thought it was a turtle egg but it was just a shell.Manny the little brother in the Heffley family took one of the baby turtle in his pale so they had to bring it back to the beach.To show everyone their christmas card they took a banana boat ride.lately Mrs.Heffley mad them go on an actual boat ride where they left rodrick in the middle of the sea for over 4 hours.when the got him out he was blue.Which was not a good sign.After all that the Heffley actually had a good time spending time with their families.They were wanted in the resort for stealing a family clothes just to get in a restaurant but they said it was worth it .

My opinion on this book is I really like it.I read this b0ook over twenty times and it never gets old.I would suggest this book to people who like kind of funny and adventure books.It is also the latest Diary of a Wimpy Kid book series.
