Children who are brought up in a disadvantaged background fare badly in terms of earning and employment chances as young adults. Settings give children plenty of choice in the sessions and offer many life experiences both within the setting and with visitors and trips. 3.2. Explain the importance of positive attitudes towards disability and specific requirements.
Young children are very accepting of differences and itâs only as they go to school that they begin to be less accepting. Children shouldnât be labelled and every possible attempt at making the activity and setting appropriate for that child should be done. Again a positive âwhat can they doâ rather than âwhat canât they doâ helps to build the childs self esteem and make them accepted by their peers. Again the para Olympics have been an eye opener for this.

How to do make sure that each of the above is fulfilled in the nursery and what impact does it have on the children and family? For example if you have posters and toys showing different nationalities this shows children that there are other people in the world and they may not all look the same but they can all play and learn and do things that they can do. This will help them accept different cultures.
