Therefore, the hypothesis was correct. The chosen glass to add the pure cane sugar did grow much more crystals at a more rapid pace. The purpose of the experiment is to grow a large amount of crystals on a wooden skewer. Rock candy is a candy made with sugar that to attempt to grow on a wooden skewer. This delicious candy is actually crystallized sugar that from a sugar-water solution. Along with this, this Science Investigatory Project (SIP) is intentionally would like to educate each and every individual how to grow their own rock candy and determine if they utilize different types of sugar, it will change the growth rate of your sugar crystals. Every sugar added into the extra cup in the observation 2, it grew approximately 8 cm more than observation 1 over a period of 5 days.

Introduction
The hypothesis is, if I add more sugar to the same amount of boiling water, it will grow more crystals. I believe the more sugar you add to the water the thick and more concentrated the water will be. There will be more sugar to come out of the solution when it is sitting for a period of time. I chose this project because edible sugar crystals sounded like a good idea to create and try. I saw this idea from Science Bob website and thought it was interesting.

Rock candy is very easy to do… You just need basic kitchen ingredients and a lot of time and patience. The candy is made by the process called crystallization. You will find out later why. The candy is made of water and sugar (melted in the water) only flavorings and food colors are optional. Of course the melted sugar needs a solid substance so it can crystallize there.So dip astick, straw, anything clean to the mixture and it will crystallizethere. The objectives or this experiment is to have a new and delicious homemade candy that can be cheap but meaningful to eat.

The specific objectives here are about using an affordable and also available in your house so you can make it on your own.
c. Significance of the study
This study will show you if you can make your own candy at home. It is like candy making made easy. If you get used to it, you might even make a business out of it and experiment with other to make it taste better. It can also be simple hobby or past time to anyone who has a lot of time. We will also be able to observe the process of crystallization which others rarely, if not, never get to see.
The importance of this is study is to have little knowledge about making and using things in your kitchen so you don’t need to buy it. If there are things that not using, like leftovers in your kitchen so that it will not be a waste and it can be make a useful things or make a delightful foods or candies.
d. Scope and limitations
Most of kids and teens like buying and eating foods and candies to spend some leisure time with their friend, sometimes they using candies or food to relaxed and have fun and got interesting to be used to it. But sometimes I know that candies and other foods are not allowed specially when you ate them too much,

Crystallization is the process of formation of solid crystals precipitating from a solution, melts or morerarely deposited directly from a gas. Crystallization is also a chemical solid-liquid separation technique, in which mass transfer of a solute from the liquid solution to a pure solid crystalline phase occurs. Our study had undergone one of the major events in the said process which is the crystal growth. A crystal is a solid material whose constituent atoms, molecules, or ions are arranged in an orderly repeating patternextending in all three spatial dimensions. Crystal growth is a majorstage of a crystallization process, and consists in the addition of new atoms, ions, or polymer strings into the characteristic arrangement of a crystalline Brava is lattice. Methodology
a. Materials/equipment
In making rock candy:
* Measuring cup and spoon
* Large sauce pan
* Long wooden spoon
* Clean glass jar (a tall, strong one)
* Clean piece of cotton string
* Popsicle stick, pencil, or wooden skewer
* Paper clip
* 1 cup water
* 2 cups of granulated sugar
* A few drops of your favorite candy flavoring (optional)
* A few drops of food coloring (optional)
b. Treatment/general procedure
Start a pot of water boiling on the stove.
Tie a piece of string around the middle of the stick. The string should be long enough so that when the stick is placed over the top of the glass, the string will come up just short of the bottom.
Wet the string with a little water and roll it in the sugar. Put the paper clip on the end of the string to act as a weight and help the string stay straight. Lay the stick over the top of the glass jar so that the string hangs down inside the jar, but not touching the bottom of the jar.
When the water has started boiling, remove it from the heat and let the water settle. Stir in the sugar and corn syrup, one tablespoon at a time. Continue adding the sugar until it starts collecting at the bottom of the pot and will not dissolve even when you stir. This will take a while and a good bit of sugar but not too much. If you want to add flavoring or color, stir it in now.
Pour the sugary syrup solution into the glass until it is about 1 inch (2.5cm) from the top. Results and Discussion
