Election Speech

Good morning fellas. I am Nikitha.V of 10th grade. I am here to urge you to vote me into the Student council. I want to be part of the leadership team and hopefully become school vice captain for this year 2015-16. I realize that it’s a privilege to have the honor but I am confident that I will be a suitable candidate I promise to work hard to be the effective leader that you would be proud of in the school. I will try to uphold and obey all the rules and become the role model that you can all look up to. I will assist teachers and students in any way possible to the best of my abilities. I strongly believe that I’m respectful and trustworthy and I also believe that all these qualities are very important in a leader’s life. Firstly, I would like to start by explaining to you what this position means to me. The School vice Captain needs to be a respectful but also fun loving person, someone who can represent the school and its core values; Hospitality, Compassion, responsible and respect. Today’s election is of dire importance. We need strong leadership this year.

I would like to submit to you that I am the best qualified candidate to lead the Student Council and the school body as its vice captain. Secondly a good leader will always listens to others and they never judge about who that person is and what they do. Leaders don’t just bark orders or boss people around. They listen to their team, their peers, and their competitors because they know it is the best way to understand a situation so they can make the best decision possible. Thirdly I believe that I am a trustworthy candidate. I’m generally a good public speaker. I am well organized and I like to do tasks that I am given quickly. I enjoy helping others and setting a good example to other students. I like to try my best at anything and everything I do .I’m a polite and respectful student both to teacher and students. I like contributing to the school in any way possible.

To me the role of school captain is more than a badge, popularity or a fancy title. Leadership is not about titles, positions or flowcharts. It is about one life influencing another. My record exemplifies passionate, self driven, advocacy on behalf of all of us. I care about your interests and your voice. Well, I want to tell you I am a leader of caliber. I am an open minded, helpful, down on earth. I believe in equality and innovative methods. The truth is we are in need of individuals, who have the potential to represent us and our school, who can give their heart and soul for the betterment of the student body. My dedication and hard work will lead us into a golden era. I hope my professional conduct and serious attitude have shown you that I am devoted to the cause of improving our school.
