Statement of purpose

“Always walk through life as if you have something new to learn and you will.” This desire helped me to learn many more things in various domains. Right from my school days, I was passionate in science field. Equally important to self-discovery is having the opportunity to study things that are meaningful and relevant to one’s life and interest. This proclivity helped me to pick up science stream with computer science as a special subject in junior college.

Education held upmost priority in my family. I upheld this tradition and pursued engineering for my graduate program. I completed my Computer engineering from Pune University, particularly from Cummins College of Engineering. It was excellent blend of theoretical and experimental work. In today’s world, I believe that one needs to be furnish with the necessary knowledge, experience and ambition.

Since childhood it has always been my goal to expand my knowledge by exploring new technologies. I always wanted to experience the practices and official work culture for software technology in an organization. That is when I decided to gain some practical knowledge in an organization.

During last 8 years, I have worked with different clients like AT&T (US), Vodafone (Germany), Barclays (UK, US) on different technologies like UNIX, Dataware Housing, Business Objects, Sterling Connect Direct. I was entrusted with responsibility of large-scale leading teams and gathering technological requirements from clients as well as implementation. I took on the challenge by providing the required support where necessary, which was noticed by management and eventually, resulted to lead team.

My carrier has thus developed from that of a software engineer to a professional capable of understanding both technical and business developments as well as leading technical teams to deliver outstanding projects. With in depth knowledge and leadership experience in the IT industry.

Therefore, I decided that further study in MBA with specialization in IT program from Westcliff University which would help me in developing my career potential and providing me with greater opportunities for future success. Apart from studying, I also firmly believe that University life would give me the opportunity to communicate with other students as well as teachers coming from different culture backgrounds.

A good graduate program is an essential step towards realizing my professional ambition of becoming a competent player in the IT field and it will help me give back to society more than what I have received. I possess the motivation, intellectual ability and preparation to do justice to a demanding graduate program. I am aware that Westcliff University expects very high standards from its students.
