V. Summary
The Fault In Our Stars is a fabulous book about a young teenage girl who has been diagnosed with lung cancer and attends a cancer support group. Hazel is 16 and is reluctant to go to the support group, but she soon realizes that it was a good idea. Hazel meets a young boy named Augustus Waters. He is charming and witty. Augustus has had osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer, but has recently had the all clear. Hazel and Augustus embark on a roller coaster ride of emotions, including love, sadness and romance, while searching for the author of their favorite book entitled An Imperial Affliction. They travel to Amsterdam in search of Peter Van Houten, the author of An Imperial Affliction. When they already in Amsterdam, they met the author of the book, but that time the sacrifices they made became worst. Peter didn’t met them hospitable and that time his drunk and he didn’t answer all of the questions that Hazel and Augustus prepared for him.

It’s all worthless. After all what happened Augustus breaks some heartbreaking news to Hazel and both of their worlds fall apart around them. That the money has been used at their trip was not donated by a charity that Augustus told to Hazel, but it’s the money for the operation of Augustus. He sacrificed his operation for them to go at Amsterdam and find Peter Van Houten that gave them nothing. Not all stories have happy endings. They went back in America and their life changes.

Even he will undergo an operation, he don’t have a chance to live. So for his sake, Augustus chose to live his last days together with Hazel Grace. And the night his mom calls to Hazel, Hazel knew that his gone. During the burial, Peter Van Houten was also there and he tries to explain what was the ending of the book to Hazel but she don’t care it anymore. After the burial, Peter followed her and even though Hazel was very mad at him. Peter explains why he came at America. When Augustus knew that he going to die, he called Peter to make him a favor. He want Peter to made the ending of their favorite book. And Peter did, Hazel cries and she said the promise-word to Augustus, ‘ok’. VI. Lessons

We have a choice in this world, about how to tell sad stories. Be happy with your place in this world.
Stop demanding answers and start living in the questions.
True love is out there.
