This tube is located down your wind pipe and runs into the lungs, allowing air to travel through your nose and into your chest. There are two different types of lung cancer. NON small lung cancer and small cell lung cancer. NSCLC is the most common type of lung cancer. NSCLS are adenocarcinomas which is usually located on the outter area of the lung. Squamous Cell carcinomas located in the center next to the air tube and large cell carcmomas that can occur in any part of the lung (ADAM Medical Encyclopedia). Fluid around the lungs can be a positive indicator of lung cancer. You can listen for fluids by using a sethoscope. Lung cancer may sometime spread if not detected early. Test that may be done to see if it has spread include but is not limited to bone scan, chest x-ray and complete blood count.
