Order NowHave you ever wondered what this world would be like without any regards to our social status? The way we live now, many of us judge people on how much money they have or how well educated they are. Unfortunately, not everyone is given the opportunity to earn money, or to have an education. But why is this? Why is it that only certain people get these opportunities? It is not because they are more intelligent or more able have a job or go to school than the less wealthy citizens. These people deserve the chance to earn some money and to make a living.
It’s not their fault that they are born into poorer families, but once they are, there isn’t much they can do to alter the fact. However, we, as a community, can benefit these people’s lives. It is our responsibility to look out for them, and we should share an interest in each other’s welfare. If we pay higher taxes, this not only benefits the less fortunate people, but us as well. If you suddenly fall sick or break a leg, or find you don’t have enough money to pay for your child’s education, you can be provided with hospital and school fees.
This will give the younger people of our society, however wealthy, the chance that they deserve to get an education, and with it, the opportunities that they ought to have. It is our own selfishness that leads to the unfortunate suffering of these poor people. It is we whose fault it is that wages are low and working hours aren’t fair, and it is also down to us to change that. Think of the parents who work so hard to earn some money to support their families, and then finding that they still don’t have enough because the companies they work for choose not to pay them more.
But owners of large companies, or any company, can afford to pay their workers more. The owners argue that it is more convenient for everyone if they pay their workers less because that means that they can expand their business, providing more jobs for the less well off and making more products for the consumer, that is to say, us. This way the owners will get more money and can increase the size of their business even more.
It is fair to say that this would be beneficial for many of us, however, higher pay would result in higher taxes, and that way society would be able to provide health, education and social benefits for everyone. So, it is our responsibility to look out for each other, is it not? As we all deserve the same opportunities, no matter how rich or poor we are. In assisting one another we can benefit those who are less fortunate, helping pay for school and hospital fees, and create better and fairer jobs for those who need them.
